The book we are reading is "The Lion, the WItch and the Wardrobe" by C.S Lewis. The Hot Chocs are from Room 7 and we meet in the library once a week, drink hot chocolate (YUM!) and talk about what we have read. Miss Woodward and Miss Freeman come along as well. (we all love reading and chocolate!!).
A reading strategy we used last week was to use post-it notes to help us clarify unknown words and parts of the story we didn't quite understand. This worked well and we all learnt some new words.

Hot Chocs are the best! We LOVE drinking our hot chocs and reading our books! The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the coolest book and we are having a lot of fun comparing the book to the movie! Miss Charles, we would LOVE to have your expertise join us!
Hi my name is Fono and I'm in room 7. On our book club book is called The Lion, the Witch and the wadrobe. I already finished the book. My favourite chapter was when they all entered Narnia and they felt soory for Lucy because they never believed her. I think this is really cool that we also learn new words and meanings.
Hi my name is willow and I'm hot choc. The chapter I'm on is chapter two and it has been a brilliant chapter because Lucy made friends with a faun called Mr.Tumnus. He looks a little strange because he has got a funny body but he sounds kind and awesome because he let Lucy come to his house for supper and for a cup of tea.
Hi my name is Helen. I am a hot choc and I am onto chapter nine and the bit I like the most is when Edmund runs away from his sisters and brothers for the white witch because he wanted more Turkish Delight and thats why I like that bit the best.
My name is Taylor from Room 7. I am a hot chocolate and I'm on chapter thirteen. My favourite part was when Lucy, Susan, Peter and the Mr Beaver and Mrs Beaver met Aslan the lion. I think that C.S Lewis is very smart and clever.

The chapter that I'm up to is chapther thirteen and I love it when the witch's sledge and all of the snow melted and Edmund starts to find out that the witch is really bad and that she wants to kill all the children so that they can stay away from the the four throne's so she can RULE so I'm really enjoying the book.
